NEW! BMO First World War Edu-Kit

The Rooms BMO First World War Edu-kit is available to schools throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.  Thanks to the generous donation from BMO Financial Group, this new educational program is offered free-of-charge to all interested classes in our province.

By using this kit students have the opportunity to discover the role of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians in the First World War.  Through reproduction artifacts and archival documents, activities and suggested discussion topics, students learn about the War experiences at home and overseas, roles of soldiers and sailors, doctors and nurses and how we remember and commemorate the War today.

To book a BMO First World War Edu-kit please contact Joy Barfoot at 709-757-8092 or email, allowing 2 to 3 weeks for the kit to be delivered to your school.  Once the kit has arrived, you will have a minimum of 2 weeks to utilize it before it will be requested to be either shipped back to The Rooms or on to another school in your area.
