Where:
4M Museum Galleries Entranceway Case

This mini-exhibit celebrates the NONIA’s 100th anniversary and features the striking handiwork of their knitters and weavers. Established in 1920, the Newfoundland Outport Nursing and Industrial Association initially funded healthcare in the island’s rural communities through selling local women’s finely crafted textiles. NONIA continues to this day supporting rural Newfoundland women by marketing and selling their handmade products. The Rooms is proud to showcase these makers’ works and the good work of the association.

This exhibit is located outside the Level 4 Museum Galleries Entrance.
