Such good-tasting stickiness can be found with fingers digging deep into the strawberry jam jar. In 1932 sharing a snack and a memory, no doubt a laugh or two, with these young girls enjoying every last lick of strawberry jam. Even decades later getting together with friends for a bite is still a prized Newfoundland tradition. Our food culture is alive and well from front porches to back gardens, and even at a downtown sidewalk café.
