Edukits 

The Rooms offers Edukits to teachers at no charge. Each kit includes a variety of artifacts, learning resources, lesson plans, and activity sheets to support the Social Studies Curriculum on Newfoundland and Labrador history from the 1800s.

Who Are You? Cultural Expressions at The Rooms (Grade 8 Social Studies | Also Grade 6)
A cultural tickle trunk bursting with artifacts, period clothes, art, images, and more.
Reproduction artifacts and archival documents along with activities bring the various experiences of the First World War to life.
These resources were developed under the leadership and guidance of the Healing and Commemoration Advisory Committee, to help students further understand and participate in reconciliation, spread awareness and education about residential schools in the province, and to foster acknowledgement and understanding towards those who attended the schools and their families.

To book a Rooms Edukit please contact Joy Barfoot at 709-757-8092 or email joybarfoot@therooms.ca, allowing 2 to 3 weeks for the kit to be delivered to your school.  Once the kit has arrived, you will have a minimum of 2 weeks to utilize it before it will be requested to be either shipped back to The Rooms or on to another school in your area.
