History	A logging community at the head of Northwest Arm of Sweet Bay, in southern Bonavista Bay, Winter Brook is spread along the road besides a well-protected but shallow harbour. Tradition has it that Winter Brook was first used as a residence in the late 1800's with the first year-round settlers showing up in the 1900's.
