Family Fun: Grenfell Crafts: Embroidery
Level 3 Multipurpose Space
Come and try you hand at embroidery. Members from the St. John’s Guild of Embroidery will be on hand
to share their passion for this beautiful skill. This program is

Pick up a map and use the clues to find really neat things we've taken Out of the Vaults. Along the way, meet some of the people who collect and care for all these special things. See if you can identify our mystery artifact. There'll be prizes!

Easter Break Family Fun Favourites: Make a Giant Squid
Make your own giant squid . . . with great big googley-eyes.
It’s a great way to find out how the real animal is put
together – from tentacles to tail fin. This program is

Easter Break Family Fun Favourites: The Rooms with a View
Come and be inspired by the works of art in our Small
Spaces…Big Art exhibition and then create your own art inspired by
our spectacular views. This program is included with the cost

Hunt

Easter Break Family Fun Favourites: Tracing & Texture
Join us as we play around with tracing paper, photographs
and rubbings to create beautiful textured works of art. This

Artists can turn pieces of stone into magical works of art.

Family Fun: Birds on the Brian
It’s spring! Outside birds are singing - inside The Rooms we’re
full of feathery fun and games. Build your own bird.
Make an origami pigeon. Challenge your family to a game of

Family Fun: Robert Bateman Getting to Know Contest
Spend some time getting know the birds of our Province by working
with Art Gallery educators in the Beak Behind the
Scenes exhibition. Create detailed works of art
that may be entered in the national Robert Bateman Getting to Know
contest. This program is included with the cost of admission to The
Rooms; Safety First! Parents or guardians must remain with their

Family Fun: Celebrating Mothers: Pop-up Art Cards
Spend a lovely afternoon the whole family will enjoy, and
celebrate the unique strength and sprit of the women we know and
love…our Moms! This program is included with the cost of

Family Fun: Celebrating Mothers: Working with Wool
Join Linda Lewis, of Baynoddy Knitwear, Spinning, &
Weaving, as she shares her knowledge and love of all things related
to wool. Try your hand at wool carding and knitting.

Family Fun: A Family Field Trip
Join Curator Nathalie Djan-Chekar as she explores our Connections
Gallery to discover why bird’s feet are so neat. This program is

Regular Family Fun Drop-ins will resume in the fall, the
first Sunday after Thanksgiving.
