Sunday, October 3 Family Fun Drop In: Fun & Games in the 1600s 2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multipurpose Space
What did kids in Newfoundland do for fun 400 years ago? How about a game of Fox and Geese? Or maybe a frame of Nine Pins? Or would you like a go at Hunting a Deer in My Lord’s Park? Come by and play while you find out what we’re talking about.

Please note that there will be No Family Fun program on Thanksgiving Sunday.

Family Fun Drop In: A Love for Leaves!
2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multi-purpose Space
They’re falling all around us, so this is a fun time to discover neat things about leaves and why they are so important to trees, to ladybugs, to moose and to you. Join the folks from the Natural History Society for all kinds of activities that you can take or leaf.

Family Fun Drop In: Printmaking
2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multi-purpose Space
Make a great impression by creating your own artful prints. Carve or collage your printing block, than ink it and send it through the printing press. Whether you are a first time print maker or an expert, this workshop will let you create multiple artworks using a variety of printing techniques with colourful inks and assorted papers.

This program is offered in cooperation with the Book Arts Association of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Wayzgoose Festival.

All family-fun programs are included with the cost of admission to The Rooms unless otherwise specified. Parents or guardians must remain with their children (12 years and younger).

This Halloween you can bone up on some amazing anatomical things from our natural history collection - come and see! While you’re here, don’t miss your chance to make art that’s weird, wild and wonderful.

Family Fun Drop In: Animal Tracks and Signs in Winter
2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multipurpose Space
Pretend to be an animal and hop, run and walk to this family fun program! Have fun trying to guess which animals made which tracks while you make your own animal footprints from potatoes and paper.

Sunday, November 14
Family Fun Drop In: Genealogical fun
2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multi-purpose Space
Explore your roots during our Genealogical family fun day. Kids can construct a simple family tree, a family album, or even a family crest to include in their very own time capsule.

Sunday, November 21
Family Fun Drop In: A Marble Tournament
2 - 4 pm, Level 3 Multipurpose Space
Blow Out is one of the earliest marble games known; kids in Cupids in the 1600s would have played it for fun, now you can, too.
