The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery is dedicated to advancing the work of visual artists in the province through its Space Based program.

The art gallery offers a 3 month studio residency for emerging artists, leading to an exhibition within The Rooms. The studio is located within The Rooms, and participating artists have access to it during operating hours, seven days a week. As a ‘laboratory’ for developing new ideas, methods and art works, this program offers artists support and accelerated access to developing and presenting an exhibition. The art gallery accepts 2-3 participants per year.
