The Rooms is proud to present:
Theatre Newfoundland Labrador’s Production of
Tempting Providence
By Robert Chafe
In 1921 British-trained nurse & midwife Myra (Grimsley) Bennett
originally planned to head to Saskatchewan. Instead, she moved to
Daniel’s Harbour Newfoundland, eventually becoming known as
‘Florence Nightingale of the North’ for caring for the sick and
injured in isolated northern Newfoundland communities for over 50
years.
Written by Robert Chafe and directed by Jillian Keiley, Theatre Newfoundland Labrador's
Tempting Providence has played to critical acclaim 371 times in 93 communities in nine Canadian provinces and one territory, and in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Australia, find out why.
Saturday, March 20, 3 pm (SOLD OUT)
Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.50 for students and seniors
and available at The Rooms Admission Desk, 709-757-8090.
